Is cereal a soup?

I believe that cereal cannot be a soup. According to the Dennis Dictionary of words, soup is a liquid dish, typically made by boiling meat, fish, or vegetables, etc., in stock or water. Therefore cereal even when ate with milk or (god forbid) water, cannot be technically described as a soup no matter how you put it.

Note that it says typically so cereal could be the exception to this and thus be a soup, additionally what if someone boiled cereal or added vegetables to their cereal then it would fit the typical definition of soup.

Yes, however that is very Unkosher and our sizable population of Kosherites would be quite unhappy. Therefore, cereal is not a soup, and it does not mattter whether a hot dog is a sandwich because pork is very very very unkosher
